Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information StylishSage collects when you visit stylishsage.com, how that information is used, and the rights you have over it. It is written in plain language. Where it gets technical, that is because being vague would be less honest, not more.
Questions about anything on this page can be sent through the contact form on the contact page.
1. Who is responsible for your information
StylishSage (stylishsage.com) is operated from the United States. The site operator decides what information this site collects and how it is used, which under laws such as the GDPR makes the operator the “data controller.”
All privacy questions, requests, and complaints go through the contact form on the contact page.
2. Information collected automatically
Like every website, this site runs on a server that keeps logs of requests. Those logs record your IP address, the browser and device you are using, the page you requested, the site that referred you (if any), and the date and time. These logs are not reviewed individually; they exist to keep the site online, fast, and protected from attacks.
The site also uses caching software so pages load quickly. Caching sets a small technical cookie so the correct version of a page reaches your browser. That cookie does not identify you.
3. Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which posts readers actually read: how many visitors arrive, which articles hold attention, the approximate region readers come from, and whether the site works properly on phones. Analytics reports do not identify you personally.
Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this data on Google’s systems. Google’s handling of the data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to be counted at all, Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site you visit.
4. Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, the site collects your email address and, where the form asks for it, your first name.
That information is used for one purpose: sending the newsletter. The mailing list is hosted by a third-party email service provider, which records basic delivery data such as opens and link clicks so the quality of the newsletter can be judged. Your email address is never passed to other companies for their own marketing.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately, no reason required. You can also request removal through the contact page.
5. Contact form
The contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. Those details are emailed to the site operator and stored in the site’s database so the conversation can be found again. They are used to reply to you and for nothing else. Writing in does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
Form submissions are screened for spam, which involves checking the submission and the IP address it came from against known spam patterns.
6. Embedded content
Some posts embed content hosted elsewhere, such as videos or social media posts. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the third-party site directly: it may set its own cookies and collect data according to that site’s privacy policy. Once you interact with embedded content, what happens next is governed by that third party, not by this policy.
7. Share buttons and outbound links
Share buttons on posts are served from this site rather than loaded from social platforms, so they do not transmit data to those companies while you are only reading. Clicking one takes you to that platform, where its privacy policy applies.
Posts also link to retailers, brands, and other websites. Once you leave this site, your information is handled under the destination site’s policies, which you should review rather than assume they match this one.
8. Affiliate links
Some posts contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, the site may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
To make that work, the retailer or affiliate network sets a cookie recording that you arrived from StylishSage, typically lasting between one day and one month depending on the program. What is reported back is aggregate: items ordered and commission earned. Not your name, address, or payment details.
9. Comments
Comments are currently disabled across the site. No comment form collects names, email addresses, or IP addresses, and no comment data is stored. If comments are enabled in the future, this page will be updated first to describe exactly what is collected.
10. Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser and reads back on later visits. Cookies used on this site fall into three groups:
- Strictly necessary: caching and basic site function. The site does not work properly without these.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies, used to count and understand readership.
- Affiliate: set by a retailer or affiliate network when you click a shopping link.
Your browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, and block new ones; aboutcookies.org explains how for each major browser. Blocking all cookies will break parts of this site and many others, so selective blocking is recommended.
11. Browser privacy signals
This site honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends it, it is treated as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information.
The older “Do Not Track” (DNT) header is not specifically acted on, because the industry never agreed on what it requires. GPC is the signal that works here.
12. Your rights if you live in the United States
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and a growing number of other states give residents rights over their personal information, which may include the right to know what is collected and who receives it, to receive a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Exercising these rights will never cost you access to the site or result in worse treatment.
To make a request, describe what you would like through the contact page. Your identity may need to be verified first, usually by replying from the email address already associated with your information. Requests are answered within 45 days; you will be told if a complex request needs longer. An authorized agent may act on your behalf with your written permission.
Sensitive personal information, as these laws define it, is not collected on this site and is not used to infer anything about you.
13. Your rights if you live in the UK, the EEA, or Switzerland
You have the right to access your personal data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Processing on this site relies on the following legal bases:
- Consent: for analytics cookies and the newsletter.
- Legitimate interests: keeping the site online and secure, defending against abuse, and responding when you write in.
- Legal obligation: where records must be kept or lawful requests answered.
On a first visit from the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, or Quebec, a consent notice appears before any non-essential cookies load, and nothing non-essential runs until you respond. You can reopen that notice and change your choice at any time.
This site is hosted in the United States, so your information is transferred outside your country when you visit. Service providers named in this policy use safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Frameworks.
Send requests through the contact page. If you remain dissatisfied, you may complain to your national data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
14. How long information is kept
- Server logs: kept for the short period set by the web host, then rotated automatically.
- Analytics: Google deletes event-level data after the retention period configured in the Analytics account; aggregated reports remain.
- Newsletter: kept until you unsubscribe or request removal, after which your address is deleted except for the minimum record needed to prevent accidental re-subscription.
- Contact messages: kept while the conversation is relevant, then cleared periodically.
15. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). WordPress and its plugins are kept up to date, and administrative access is restricted and protected by strong, unique credentials.
No website can promise it is impossible to breach. What this site can promise is that very little personal information is held in the first place, and that if an incident occurred affecting you, you would be told directly rather than left to find out on your own.
16. Business transfers
If StylishSage is ever acquired, merged, or otherwise transferred to a new operator, the information described in this policy may transfer as part of that transaction. You will be notified through a notice on the site before any such change takes effect.
17. Children
StylishSage is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). The site does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, report it through the contact page and it will be deleted.
18. Changes to this policy
This page is updated when practices or legal requirements change, and the date at the top is revised with each update. Material changes will also be announced on the site or in the newsletter, not made silently.
19. Contact
For anything on this page, any request about your information, or anything that does not seem right: use the contact form on the contact page. Messages are typically answered within 48 hours; formal requests under privacy law are answered within the timeframes those laws set.
